DAMIR DOMA: Breathable Clothing -SS' 2010/Menswear

Damir Doma is one of the talented and elusive designers in Paris that seems to be 'outside' the style box waiting to 'get in'. His concept sets no boundaries and limitations, getting away from stereotypes that bear obstructions to the norm.

His design techniques are personal synthesis of his pure vision and creativity, transforming each wardrobe that breathes, that moves into individualistic nuances..that inspire.

Damir Doma's 2011 Menswear Collection never fails to delight from tailoring essential and construction to the intellectual and poetic look that inspires others, who faithfully watch his show season after season.

Doma's sheer indulgence of fabric in every outfit sometimes draws away the very focal point of the silhouettes, the attention to details and the simplicity that get lost in volume.

The palette is black, shades of grey and beige, the use of large blankets as shawls look inappropriate for the season's core, but in a way that wouldn't clash with the over-all concept. Damir's work shows us once more that first impressions are deceiving - underneath the layers of precise fabric manipulations, hide the stronger visual statements. The general silouhette can almost become a secondary concern while volumes and cut, often verging on the oversize, are put in the spotlight.

It is all about an artful mix of layers, loose but cleverly adorning a body that is all wrapped up and gives way to another Doma's plays and tricks enticing audience to enter his own dreams where he is the master..

Meet the lovely Lori of Miss Ruby Sue!!! I have personally been able to work my magic on Lori and have had the opportunity to wear her amazing couture head pieces. Ladies??? They are to DIE for!!! I did a 1940's photo shoot of my and the boys for Father's Day (below) and Lori came through with all of our darling accessories. I always get tons of compliments when I wear anything of hers! Born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho, Lori is living her dreams to the fullest. Married to Chad Ward for 16 years, they are happily raising 4 beautiful children Kimball, Madison, Rilee and Kyler. Together watching movies, riding dirt bikes , motorcycling , swimming, laughing and jumping on the tramp to their favorite music have been some of the most memorable and happy times in her life. In 2008 with the help and encouragement of her husband, Lori pursued her career in design and started a small company, Miss Ruby Sue, specializing in custom hats, wedding veils, and women’s fashion accessories. Growing quickly and gaining national attention, Miss Ruby Sue took the fashion world by storm and was featured on Good Morning America, The View, The Today Show, and has since been featured in several national magazines, along with several celebrity clients as her customers, located all over the world.

But No matter how much fame and success Lori has accomplished, none of it compares to the love and acceptance she feels at home with her family. The brand DSquared2's  combination of art and commerce in their corporate and design philosophy is their strongest value proposition.  The brothers Dean and Dan, have distinct personalities and sense of personal style, until recently in their Spring/Summer Collection where they  played so "tamed"without any provocations.  Known for their  flamboyant and loud kind of fashion, a new foray into clothing genres is coming.   Inspired from the 80's American Gigolo's man of great taste, Richard Gere as Julian, acts as their key moments for inspiration. Surely the duo showcased some very sexy resort clothing with  hot skimpy trunks,  but their new menswear line is a gamble to the Dean and Dan's  usual edgy looks.Maybe there is this kind of  strategy,  to go more on the subdued men's collection where the consumers  can look chic and relaxed at the same time.DSquared’s wardrobe comprises mostly on loud color tops, like red, purple and summer blue and green.The double breasted jackets are adorable like the golden yellow leather paired with slim jeans. 

 A warm blend of formal urban wear like the colored coats and jackets with narrow lapels and relax fit waistlines. Sleek casual shirts paired with jeans in a soothing medley of mossy green, aqua blue and mustard with flecks of fuchsia in clean patterns.Keen and youthful detailing is evident in his flash of skin in button down shirts with high waisted trousers with burgundy footwear.The Catens , just have some fun!
