ASHER LEVINE: New York's Hottest Designer on Watchlist2010

Asher Levine is the new kid on the block, who believes that life is taking risks, separating oneself  from the normal and the ordinary...and just enjoying life.

But he is different. A no nonsense designer who believes in himself, what he got and what he can offer.
He stitched himself to the top literary, taking basic course in stitching from the neighborhood New York. Joining a sewing club and competed around Florida where he was judged on sewing and fabric selection.

Asher Levine moved to New York on 2006, studied Business Entrepreneurship and Marketing, while working at boutique fashion advertising agency. His innate talent showed great potentials later when he worked at Visual Therapy, a luxury lifestyle consulting agency, where he became a styling assistant.

He developed a sense of men's line aesthetics and honed it, taking an insight that there is a big lack of developments in men's wear.
Asher Levine's Men's line 2010 proved to be a success from this guy who once compete for stitching all over Florida. His line can be described as contemporary, individualistic, edgy but the outright high tailoring can de seen beneath those punk, rock chic pieces.

Lady Gaga was spotted in New York wearing his oversized motorcycle coat,..how about that!

Surely Asher Levine is the hottest find in New York's eclectic world of style and fashion

LADY GAGA MESMERIZES TOKYO WITH AN AWE-INSPIRING VIVA GLAM PERFORMANCE

On Tuesday, April 20th M•A•C Cosmetics and the M•A•C Aids Fund hosted the much anticipated Pan-Asia Viva Glam launch in Japan with a press junket at Tokyo’s Grand Hyatt Hotel for over 30 Asian and worldwide media followed by a breathtaking and electric performance by Viva Glam spokesperson Lady Gaga featuring a one-of-a-kind M•A•C Viva Glam inspired piano, specially designed and crafted by Canadian artist, Terence Koh.

An international and eclectic audience of over 900 guests including Naomi Matsushima, Ms. Riisa Naka and Ms. Kyoko Kano together with influencers from the worlds of fashion, music and art arrived at Tabloid, Tokyo’s newest art and fashion event space – all highly charged and visibly anticipating Viva Glam Spokesperson, Lady Gaga’s performance.

Making a grand entrance, by procession inspired by a Japanese wedding, through the ecstatic, highly charged crowd to chants of ‘Gaga, Gaga, Gaga…’ The lights dimmed and an all white Lady Gaga was led onto a rotating stage, taking her seat at the piano and performing a heart felt version of Speechless. A chilling rendition of Allejandro followed. Bathed in surreal, all white light the performance was a magical fantasy that climaxed as Lady Gaga finished her set with the crowd pleasing Bad Romance. As snowflakes and cherry blossoms magically cascaded onto her and the crowd both fans and followers were left mesmerized by her musical and artistic prowess.

Immediately following the performance, the dynamic duo of the Japanese music scene; rock stars DJ’s the Dexpistols took to the decks, spinning tunes until late into the evening.
From Tokyo the VIVA GLAM Terence Koh piano signed by Lady Gaga will travel to New York City where it will be auctioned at the Donatella Versace/Anna Wintour Art of Elysium event on April 30th. The funds will be donated to The Harlem Hospital’s Family Care Centre in New York, a program that provides comprehensive medical, psychological and social services to HIV infected children and their families. For details or to make a bid go to: www.theartofelysium.org

Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper’s “From Our Lips” campaign, the M•A•C AIDS Fund’s new initiative creating awareness about the unique and rarely discussed challenges that women face in their fight against HIV/AIDS, has been the MOST successful in the history of the M•A•C AIDS Fund. With their charisma and inspirational voice, Gaga and Cyndi have motivated people around the world to buy over $2.2 million worth of their two shades of Viva Glam Lipstick and press efforts in Tokyo are expected to bolster these record breaking figures even further.

Together with Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter and actress Cyndi Lauper, Lady Gaga shares the role of spokesperson for M•A•C Viva Glam. Every cent of each VIVA GLAM product sold globally is donated to the M•A•C AIDS Fund. The new VIVA GLAM collection features two lipsticks – Viva Glam Cyndi (Light Coral Red) and Viva Glam Gaga (Light Blue Pink) - $16.50 CDN each.

Amidst this activity, M•A•C AIDS Fund Japan donated a check of 10,000,000 YEN ($110,000 USD) to UNICEF JAPAN. This money is generated from the sales of Viva Glam lipsticks and lipglasses in Japan, where the entire selling price of each is donated to the M•A•C AIDS Fund. The 10,000,000 YEN will be directed to the M•A•C Global Partnership, a program dedicated the prevention of mother to child HIV transmission.

Gaga for Natalie

I think there's a little bit of Gaga in all of us. In a shoot I did recently, we wanted to bring out the Gaga in our model Natalie. Photographer Tiffany Alzono http://www.tiffanyalonzo.com/
and her assistant Jill did an amazing job at styling the shoot. She captured the softer side of gaga and the crazier side.

For makeup and hair - I started with a softer look, perfecting the models skin and defining her features. The look worked well with the softer lighting and background. The second look I did a strong black cupid lip with lots of liner to define the models eyes. I went with stronger makeup so it can stand out against the accessories we used in the shots.

Check out some of the images from the shoot below:

Gaga for Gaga

My newest obsession is Lady Gaga's music video for her new single " Bad Romance". I LOVE IT! It's been on repeat since it came out on Tuesday. It's a brilliant mix of Music, Fashion and visual art.

Over the top is what Lady Gaga does best. And her newest video "Bad Romance" does not disappoint. An artist in every sense of the word - Lady Gaga gives us a video that plays with our imagination. Its filled with incredible fashion, MJ "Thriller"-esque dance moves, and some seriously sick shoes.

This song was first previewed at the Alexander McQueen S/S 2010 collection. Several pieces from that collection were used in the video including those crazy "alien" shoes.

The video also features floating diamonds, a polar bear head dress, a very creepy cat, metal chin masks, great manicures, creepy doll-like eyes, lots of lingerie, 11 different makeup, hair and wardrobe changes, and oh did I mention the shoes????

Most of all, this video does what good videos do—it makes you like the song more after seeing it.

Love her or hate her - you can tell Lady Gaga is just having fun. It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be Gaga.

"Bad Romance" is the new single from ‘The Fame Monster’ album, out November 23rd, which will include eight new songs along with her entire debut album, ‘The Fame’.
