Oscar Glamour!

Oscar glamour sparkled all over the world last night & as the stars gathered on the red carpet the media frenzy began..!! Here are a few of our favourites from the night!
Firstly lady of the night Kate Winslet who has most certainly been the toast of this years awards season! Kate looked demure & stunning as ever in a deep grey & black satin dress by Yves Saint Laurent, her hair was elegantly swept back with a vintage style & her make-up perfectly flawless & glowing! Get Kate's flawless skin by applying a light base of 'Chanel Pro Lumiere' foundation, it is semi matte to create a perfect finish & it's reflecting pigments give your skin a fresh radiant appearance! Sweep some of Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick Compact across your cheeks & lightly over the t-Zone to give a light warm glow.
Sarah Jessica Parker stole the show on the red carpet with her very extravagant Dior gown, which she apparently struggled with as she manoeuvred her way through the crowds, some criticised it for being a tad over the top, but I think SJP pulls it off fabulously!

Heidi Klum looked colourful & fantastic in a bright coral number & Anne Hathaway shimmered & sparkled in a beautiful Armani Prive jewel encrusted dress, again with an elegant vintage hair design she looked the epitome of classic Oscar glamour!

Of course the talk of the evening were Hollywood A-listers Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie as well as Jennifer Aniston with her Partner John Mayer. Angelina opted for a classic black dress, only picking up one colour with vibrant emerald earings, she also sported her signature make-up look with very defined eyeliner on the top lash line & neutral lips, again very simple & classic. Jennifer Aniston also sparkled in gold & was certainly glowing as she took to the red carpet!

Hippie Chic Fashion Photo shoot

I was on set the other day for a photo shoot with one of my favorite photographers Kyla Hemmelgarn http://www.kylahemmelgarn.com/

The photo shoot was for a new up & coming model from Japan. The model, Mayu, was the sweetest girl ever. The shoot was done at MacDonald park and it was freeeeeezing. But Mayu didn't once show in the pictures that she was cold. She was a trooper!

The theme of the shoot was a very simple casual hippie chic. The overall look was very natural & beautiful. I used browns and greys on her eyes and I just smoked it out with very little definition. Lips and and cheeks were kept really soft. Below are some final pics from the shoot and some befind the scenes.

Jennifer Aniston at the Oscars

I love Jennifer Aniston. She is so glamorous and beautiful. She always looks stunning and is never over done. She is a true California girl. I love her taste in clothing, always simple and sophisticated. Most of all her make up is always just right. Never too much and never too little. She always has a golden glow and sparkling eyes. Last night at the Oscars, she did not disappoint. Accompanied by John Mayer, she dazzled in an elegant Valentino gown with Jimmy Choo satin sandals. How can you go wrong with Valentino and Jimmy Choo? In my opinion she was definitely one of the best dressed. As for her make up - perfection. To recreate her look, even if you don't have a make up artist like Angela Levin, follow these simple steps:

Skin: After moisturizing Jennifer's skin, Levin applied Chanel Lift Lumiere foundation in Beige, concealing undereye circles with the matching concealer. Instead of blush, she dabbed Hydrabase lipstick in Coco Red on the apples of Jennifer's cheeks. After that, she dotted Sheer Brilliance in Sunkissed around the tops of Jen's cheekbones. (This captures light with a slight shimmer.) A bit of powder bronzer gave Jen a sunny glow.
Eyes: Jen wore Lorac eye shadows in Jade (green) and Serenity (bronze), along with Tina Earnshaw shadow in Aubergine. She closely lined the top and bottom lashes with black eye shadow. A coat of Chanel Inimitable mascara in black finished the look.
Lips: Lucky Jen got a preview of Chanel's forthcoming Aqualumiere Lipshine in Panarea. Get a similar look with a deep rose, creamy lipstick.

Tweezer and Eyelash Curler Care

Tweezers Care
When tweezers get dull - which happens with repeated use - they are no longer as effective as grabbing on to and removing small hairs. You can take them to a knife shop for sharpening. Some of the better brands, such as Tweezerman, come with a lifetime guarantee that includes free sharpening whenever necessary.
Eyelash Curler Care
The rubber pads that line the inside if an eyelash curler are there to protect the lashes, so when the pads start to wear out or break apart, they must be replaced. many eyelash curlers come with a set of replacement pads. Keep a set on hand.

Maybelline Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara

My friend Sarah is obsessed with this mascara and told me to give it a try. Maybelline Stiletto Lash is super when it comes to lengthening and separating. It so inexpensive too! I got mine for less then $10 which is about $30 less then what I usually spend on mascara. Maybelline Stiletto Lash promises to stretch out your lashes by 70% at every angle. It also contains Pro - vitamin B5 and silk protein to strengthen and condition your lashes as well. I love it for it's super lengthening power, but I feel that it lacks a bit of volume so I use it with my LancĂ´me Cils Booster XL Masacara Base and that does the trick!

Yeah Becky!!!

Becky has made a gorgeous brush holder. Just look how easy it is to find the one you want and place it back in =). Remember after washing do not let them dry upwards like this!!! I feel the need to review older posts and that was one of them. Most of the handles are wood. Over time the water will drain down into them causing them to rot.

Filler For Brush Holder

This is the filler that I picked up from Michael's. It is available at most craft stores and is GREAT for storing your brushes. Go and get cha some =).
