THE SCOOP: Pita described Kors' collection as urban beachwear, and created a hair style to complement that laid back vibe. He literally split the back of the hair into two sections and double-knotted them like a shoelace. There was lots of texture, too.
"You know Michael's boys and girls, " Page said when describing the makeup. "They're healthy looking, with a bit of sun and wind on their cheeks, like they've just come from an active, beach vacation." Flushed cheeks were the focus with some brown accents around the eyes.
GET THE LOOK-MAKEUP: All makeup by Shiseido. Page used Luminizing Satin Face Color in Orchid, Tea Rose, Petal and Carnation across the bridge of the nose and cheekbones to punch up the "healthy" look. He rimmed the eyes with a bit of Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio in Strata. The lips were bare except for a tiny dab of concealer to take the color down a notch.
GET THE LOOK-HAIR: Pita spritzed the hair with lots of Bumble and bumble Surf Spray to add waves and texture. Then he left a chunky section of hair loose in the front and double-knotted the back of the hair, to give an effortless look to it.

Can you believe it, another HAIR tutorial?!?!? I saw this on YouTube and wanted to do it too since I can't french braid to save my life! I can twist with the best of em and I LOVE how this can dress up a casual outfit or easily dress another outfit down. Be sure to send me pictures of your halo twist and I'll feature them on the blog! Happy twisting! =)

Glow Wisdom
It's Monday! So here is some insight from Dr. Jessica Wu over at the Glow.
Have you noticed that certain celebs look younger in some photos and older in others? In many cases, a simple change of hair, makeup, and clothing can make a huge difference in how young or old someone looks. Here are some quick tricks that can make you look instantly more youthful:
Moisturize
Younger skin is soft, smooth, and dewy, so moisturize if your skin is dry or flaky. If you have an oily T zone or large pores, just moisturize any dry, flaky patches, typically the cheeks or around the nostrils and the sides of the chin. (click here for a quick fix)
Light makeup
Light makeup
The more your natural skin texture shows, the more youthful you’ll look, so use a light hand when applying makeup. Too much foundation or powder can settle into fine lines, accentuating wrinkles. Instead, use concealer strategically, only where you need it: on dark circles under the eyes, red patches around the nose, and/or any sun-damage spots. For the rest, use light liquid foundation or powder. Play up your eyes or lips, but not both. A smoky eye + a nude lip = sexy. A smoky eye + a red lip + loads of blush = painted lady.
Natural hair
Natural hair
Work with your hair’s natural texture and body. Stick-straight hair can look severe. On the other hand, stiff, teased hair can make you look like an extra from Mad Men. We love Joan, but she and everyone else back then appears older, thanks to their sprayed-to-death bouffant hair. Don’t be afraid to loosen up your hairstyle. You can look carefree and pretty but still well groomed.
*BEAUTY BONUS from DR. JESSICA WU*
Stylish & Sustainable
I packed Cove rGirl's NatureLuxe Gloss Balm for a ski trip recently and used it all weekend. It comes in a slim tube and moisturizes like lip balm (it contains castor seed oil, shea butter, and mango seed butter) while also giving you just a hint of sheer color, so you don't look overly made up when you're doing sports or working out at the gym.

M.I.A.
So sweet Jenni was kind enough to inform me that I have been M.I.A. for quite some time and that I left you lovely ladies hanging without results of some products I had been testing. So...
First: Let me just say... I apologize for leaving you hanging on the results of the tested products.
Second: I am totally going to give you my good excuses for being gone so long:
1: I was traveling around working for Lancome, doing makeovers and training counter ladies.
2: I'm pregnant, and therefore getting huge and tired, and still chasing after my two little nuggets who are 2 and 4.
3: Every time I watched a video I made, I cringed and felt incredibly stupid (I.E. "Ugh... why did I make a video when I looked so bad?" "Why do I do that weird thing with my mouth when I'm nervous?" "I sound like a man.").
Third: I hope those were good enough excuses, and I hope you forgive me.
Fourth: Here is my long forgotten review on.....
THE OSMOTICS HAIR CARE LINE!!
*Excuse the makeup in this picture. I was tired, swollen, & just not in the mood to do any. Just try to focus on the hair. :) *

So.... I LOVE IT!! I really feel like the Osmotics hair care line really has given my hair more volume, more thickness, and has made it healthier, softer, and shinier.
The shampoo really cleansed my hair and the great thing about it is that it does not contain sodium lauryl sulfates which dry and irritate the scalp.
The conditioner really makes the hair soft and manageable but does not contain heavy oils or waxes that leave the hair limp and dull.
The serum is the nice little cherry on the top, that really gives your hair A+ results!
Basically, for those wanting to help their lack luster fine locks.... these are a great buy!!
As I said in the video ages ago....
You can purchase these products at either your local Dillards (if they carry it), or online at www.dillards.com.
The Shampoo is $24.00, the Conditioner is $26.00, and the Serum is $69.00.
You can also purchase them straight from the company online at www.osmotics.com. Right now they are having a Stock up Sale and if you Buy 3, you get 1 free.
Anyway, that's the review, sorry I neglected you ladies for so long. Have a great day, and great hair to all!!!

I've Been Meaning To...
POST!!!!! I feel like I haven't in ages and I've been meaning to. Let me paint you a picture (as I try to type as quietly as humanly possible so as not to wake the "brood" in my room). I lOvE getting your emails and hearing from you in comments. I try to respond as often as I can and the pattern has been: respond, unpack a box, respond to another great email, unpack another dreaded box. Then... sickness hit. Both of my boys came down with awful coughs which soon went straight to their chests (ps we are still waiting for insurance to kick in help!). The next day my oldest came home sick with a tummy ache on top of his cold and today they both woke up with pink eye. One has it in BOTH eyes!!! I am desperately trying to keep clutter from happening around the house as "welcome to the neighborhood committees" come by (SUCH great neighbors!!!), have dinner ready for my hubby when he walks in (just cuz I think it's cute), bathe the children often to ease their suffering of congestiveness (it's a word right?), keep them from touching their eyes, washing clothes like crazy (AND the toys) and being so worried about them at night that I am not sleeping...AT ALL!!! Literally have been up the past week checking on them often (my youngest always seems to be on the floor by about 3am without fail) and they both just can't stop coughing. It makes me want to cry. I usually kick/lovingly nudge my hubby when he starts to snore. But I feel so badly that he might not be getting sleep that I just let him snore because it let's me know he is getting a good REM cycle and WHO CAN SLEEP WITH SNORING???? Not me. So if any of you live in Utah and have seen me frantically running through the medicine aisles without a stitch of makeup, bags from no sleep, a cold sore from stress and bloodshot eyes I apologize. Not a pretty sight. Back to me typing quietly, I have set them up little beds in my room so that I can just look over at them instead of getting up and going all the way to their rooms. I pray this will end, that the Lysol will last and that I can get a Valentine tutorial up because I really DO have a cute one in mind!!! For now I will direct you to Nicole for a great Valentine's Day hair tutorial and I am going to sleep...I hope! Sorry for the personal post but I had to vent and you guys are so great I didn't think you'd mind.

The Long Awaited Post
Fashion, class and style...I love these words. I was wondering just a few short years ago about what to name my blog. My hubby asked me what I wanted it to feeeel like. First thing out of my mouth,"classy." This leads me to wanting you to meet Tami. For those of you that remember my post all about being prepared, you'll recall me speaking of a potential business partner. You guessed it =), it's Tami. Here she is in all of her glory...and I DO mean glory. When she told me her site was fashionclassandstyle, I about choked on the amount of coincidence in the air. She is the owner of Tami's Salon in Rexburg and wanted by companies all over these good United States to train up and coming stylists.
This woman is sunshine personified!!! When we met I was first impressed with her drive, ambitions and excitement for all of her future possibilities. I was deeply humbled that she wanted me to potentially come on board with her...but first, there was a test. I knew that I needed to prove to her that I was a worthy makeup artist and that was all I could think of. SHE was more intent on showing me what SHE could do. My red hair...my gorgeous vision of a deep red came into my mind (enter dreamlike music here) but I thought that was too much to ask since I knew it couldn't be done without HOURS of labor and possible thoughts of resentment on her part. BOY was I wrong!!! I simply mentioned it and she got SO excited for the challenge!!!
This chica lives and breathes hair. She is a self proclaimed "hair nerd" =). So, the date was set and I just couldn't believe that I was going to get my dream hair.
I like to change my hair, not often, but when I do it's dramatic! When I lived in Russia, I was a fan of the black with blue undertones. Then I liked the black with purple undertones. Black has just been my thing. Then when I was preggers with my second I wanted to try honey blonde. BOY was that a process!!! Don't judge the "no makeup look" ooooorrr the tummy =).
I have been dreaming of red for a year now. I couldn't BELIEVE it was going to happen!!! Especially when I had already consulted 4 different stylists and they all said NO!!! When I got to Tami's salon she explained what she was going to do...which unfortunately went StRaIgHt over my head =). Here are some pictures of the FIVE HOUR LONG transformation. Tami, you are a trooper!!!!!

Here is the before:
First process:
It's getting lighter but that black was being SOOOO stubborn!!!
After the second process it lifted SO much more!
This is the face of excited!!! =)
After every stage she kept saying over and over, don't worry. it won't look like this. LOL I was having so much fun =).
Brassy much? Perfect for depositing color though!
And the end result!!!!! I absolutely LOVE it and couldn't be happier. Words cannot express how much I trust this woman and love her to pieces!!!!! If you are in Idaho and don't already go to her......WHY????? Switch and switch NOW!!!!!

Fishtail Braid How - to
During the week, I usually do not bother blow drying or straightening my hair. I end up putting it in a bun or doing a side braid. Tonight for the very first time, I decided to try a fishtail braid. I love the way it looks and it's actually not as difficult as it seems. Here is the tutorial I used...

Lift Beauty Boutique

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending some time with beautiful ladies, munching on cupcakes and drinking delicious wine at Lift Beauty Boutique in Yorkville. Emily, Lift Beauty Boutique's co-owner, was kind enough to style my hair, and I must say - it looked amazing. I walked in with straight (boring) hair and walked out with gorgeous loose curls and loads of volume. Which leads me to Schwarzkopf OSiS Dust It, or as Emily describes it - hair crack.

I have to agree with her. Hello volume - it was incredible. I purchased this product a few weeks ago but had not tried it until Emily used it while styling my hair. What exactly is it? Dust It is powder that you sprinkle on your hair at the root for extra lift. It is very similar to Aveda's Pure Abundance Hair Powder - which I used to swear by, until now. In my opinion, Dust It works much better then Aveda's version, and best of all it is half the price.
If you have not visited Lift Beauty Boutique you MUST do so ASAP!

Spring Trend - Side Braids

Leave it to the genius Alexander Wang to start a huge trend...the side braid seen at his Spring 2010 runway show. It looks so chic and effortless...I am loving this for spring. The best way to wear this is messy! Here are some tips...Just part your hair on the side, gather and braid. When the braid is placed let a few strands loose. If you want to go uber-intense, tease the hair at the crown before braiding. This will give you that crazy, "I've just crawled out of a cave" look which is so in at the moment!
Happy Friday!

L'Oreal Elnett Hairspray

I am totally obsessed. L’Oreal Elnett is by far the BEST hairspray I have ever used! I use hairspray practically everyday and I am so happy that I have finally found one that is so incredible! This hairspray is extremely fine and soft to the touch. It holds all types of styles and it never makes your hair hard or brittle like other hairsprays. I have nothing bad to say about this hairspray. I am totally hooked for life - it is GOLD. Anyone else swear by this incredible product? I hear it is used by the top stylists…I am not surprised!

Holiday Hair Dos
Its holiday season and if you're like me your month of December will be filled with lots of Christmas parties and Christmas dinners and you'll need to look fabulous at each and every one of them. But coming up with different looks for lots of different events can be hard. So to help out, here's a couple of my favorite hair trends that are perfect to try out this holiday season.
The first hair trend that has been every where lately is The Braid. Everyone from Jlo to Blake Lively to Jennifer Aniston have been seen with this hair trend. But it's not your traditional braid. The trick to this trend is to do a modern version of "The Braid" and pair it up with great makeup and a great outfit. Check out some examples of modern versions of "The Braid".

Another one of my favorite hair trends right now that has been seen on everyone from Megan Fox to Kim Kardashian is the classic Veronica Lake vintage waves. This look is beautiful and ultra glamorous. Pair it up with vintage makeup like a classic red lip and black liner and you'll be the hit at your Christmas Party!

Just Blo Me

Ladies, am I wrong when I say that the hair on our heads is one of the most important features on our lovely bodies, if not the MOST important? I know that most of the time you just want to pull it out, because your curls are not holding, you can’t get it straight enough or voluminous enough. Whatever the case may be, drop the blow dryer and get your lovely behind to Blo Blow Dry Bar and let them hook you up with the most amazing blow out /style ever. A few weeks ago I called up the ladies and gents at Blo and made an appointment. My brother’s wedding was coming up and I needed professional hair up. Let me tell you, they know what they are doing. I didn’t get a blow out, but I opted to for a customized “a la carte” look. My stylist was amazing. AMAZING. She did my hair with such precision and care. In the end I had a gorgeous side bun, very a la Jessica Alba, if I do say so myself. I am very spectacle of trying out new places, but Blo has a place in my heart. If you haven’t gone to Blo Blow Dry Bar, say good bye to your mediocre stylist and get yourself to Blo ASAP, to find out what your hair has been missing.

Ps. their shampoos and conditioners smell delish! Try them!

Kim Kardashian as a Blonde

So, she really did it this time. I am going to blame it on her break up with Reggie Bush. It doesn't look awful, but she is better as a brunette. That dress looks extremely fug on her though...Hot Mess Monday times two today...
Kourtney looks great though!
What do you all think of Kim's new hair?

Summer Proof Hair

Summer is here and for most of you, so is frizz and above is a picture of Giesle Bundchen to make you all jealous of her fabulous hair. Hydrate your hair and avoid looking like a total mess this summer. Tame your frizz by soaking up your thirsty strands in moisture. Start off with a prewash treatment like Aveda Beautifying Composition. It is a lubricating oil that you brush through your hair before shampooing. After about twenty minutes, shampoo your hair with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, try Ojon Ultra Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner. After towel drying your hair, apply a lightweight leave in such as Ojon Revitalizing Mist, to soften the texture of your strands even further. Next, apply smoothing cream to your strands to help ward off humidity, Living Proof is an excellent line to try for this particular step. You can pick a specific product to suit your hair needs. Their collection includes items for fine to medium hair, medium to thick hair and thick to coarse hair. You can also choose depending on whether you want a product that will enhance your waves or allow to your achieve perfectly straight hair. Last but not least, apply a touch of shine serum for a glossy finish, try Aveda Brilliant Spray- On Shine. Hope your summer is frizz free and fabulous
