GUCCI: Milan Fashion Week 2011-D'OR AFRIQUE

Milan Fashion Week 2011 kicked off Wednesday, Sept. 22, with a Gucci show, taking inspirations from the 70's style chic Marrakech and Africa in Italian glamour.

Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini, used YSL's Moroccan colors - bright orange, deep turquoise, jade  and magenta.
The opening numbers of  finely cut chiffon pants, draped one-shoulder silk tops and knee length skirts, were splendidly fused  for that great moment.

The burnt varnished cooper snakeskin bags and lovely fine belts with tassels added the equestrian look of a Gucci luxe tradition. Giannini's african travel went deep in northern Savannah  with her fabulous series of leather jackets with fringes, strips pants with shade of nudes.

The third part, the finale, was a collection of ethnic inspired dresses. African accents like  leathers in intricate gold embroideries, berber necklaces and bracelets added the contemporary ethnic appeal.
