Halloween is coming ladies! What are you going to be? I will be starting the Halloween series this week and hope that you will send in requests! Our first look will be Snow White. This little princess was beloved and sweet, albeit just a touch naive (NEVER take apples from strangers!). For the original movie the animators actually took real makeup and applied it to her in every frame. Her lips were also more of a brown red but has become iconic apple red for anyone doing the look now. I hope you like it =).
Speaking of Halloween, attention anyone in the Utah Valley area, I invite you to Witch's Night at Gardener's Village. I'll be there all decked out and looking to meet YOU! Are you coming? Will I see you there? Hope so = D!!!

Hot Smokey Summer Eye
Turn up the heat with this smoldery eye! I haven't been feeling all that great this past week but inspiration struck and now I give you the silent movie era of makeup tutorials =). The music makes me want to do a 1920's flapper look...and I think I just might!!! My fav part is that it took my husband this long to show me how to speed up videos and change transitions. I feel like I am BURSTING with new ideas now!!! This video normally would have been 8 min long but since I sped it up to match the theme it's HALF that! Also, I hold up a brown shadow toward the beginning and don't tell you the name is Embark from MAC.
Well, I am off to bed for more sleep. I need it since my son's birthday party is coming up and I want to kick this sickness to the CuRb! Get this, he asked for a Halloween Birthday Bash in June =). I am beYOND excited since that is one of my FAVORITE holidays. Can I share the invites with you?
We made a mold of his finger, roughed it up, tied a reminder ribbon around it and laid it on a soft bed of reindeer moss. I was DYING when I saw how cute and little his fingers were =). Thank you Martha!!!

Starlet Series Kim Kardashian Take 1
Here is Kim on the cover of a Vegas Mag looking GoRgEoUs!!!!! I have gotten TONS of requests for this diva so here you go!!! =) Although I was inspired by this photo I just used it as "inspiration" and threw in some typical Kim touches, i.e. dramatic smokey liner and glossy nude lips. There will be two more looks I will do of hers so stay tuned!!! Are you guys doing these look? Send 'em IN!!!!!! =)MAC pencil in Fascinating (white) along top lashline
Kohl's Shadow "Ice"on inner 3/4 of lid (I add more of this in the video calling it "silver")
MAC shadow "Vanilla" on brow bone
MAC pigment in "Melon" just in the center of lid
Coastal Scents Matte 88 Pallette bottom row 2nd from left (I refer to this as the reddish brown color)
Kohl's shadow in "Candied Walnut" over that
THEN to darken that take the 88 Pallette last row 2nd from bottom (SuPeR dark brown) to intensify crease
I use my Wet n Wild black liner to do water line and set that with MAC "Cabon" shadow
To contour I use Wedge from MAC and have NO idea why I keep saying Era!!!!!
MAC blush in "Tippy"
Lash Blast for Mascara
MAC lip liner in "Ginger Root"
MAC lipstick in "Fabby"
MAC lipstick in "Myth" just in the center of the bottom lip
MAC gloss in Viva Glam 6 (Fergie limited edition)
Bronzer is from Nicole Miller

Starlet Series...Penelope Cruz

I can't even tell you how much I aDoRe this look!!!!! The eyes were just stunning and I honestly couldn't stop sneaking glances in the mirror =). Weird, I know, but the eyes are so FIERCE and I did double lashes this time (a first for me). I think I could have done the crease a bit stronger but I am seeing this WAY after the fact. I would suggest deepening the crease with a dark brown, Handwritten by MAC would be great!!! I would love to see some pictures of you guys after you've given it a go!!!Friday, January 29, 2010

I'm sorry...Did I Forget To MENTION???????

I got my 88 color PALETTE!!!!!!! How could I not have announced this, sung it's praises, done a tutorial????? Well the below picture is a result of using this wonderful palette and I am quite pleased. I for SURE recommend using a primer still, though the quality is far better than drugstore purchases. I used the oranges and browns today and can't WAIT to do purples and pinks for a more smoked out "punk" look. The ONLY thing I have to say and let me please note that this is not said in disappointment......they are really smaaaaaaaaall. I actually laughed when I opened them cuz they were so miniature and cute. My pygmy eye shadows as it were =). Aaaaanyhooooo, here is to fun with more upcoming tutorials and new products, products PRODUCTS!!!!!!

So the voice over cut me off right before I gave a vital detail to the look. On the brow bone all over is a touch of Vanilla but right at the arch use a couple pats of a white color to give it a pop!!! =) I used White Avalanche by MAC.
