Concealing Your Eyebrows

Halloween is upon us and for those crazy dramatic looks that call for no eyebrows are sometimes daunting. I don't feel I did a great job in the Sally look so I did some more research and found better techniques =). Here you are and I hope you enjoy! Have you sent me a Halloween look yet??? Halloween Contest!!!

 Are you so excited for our Annual Classy Halloween Contest??? This is one of my favorite times of year and I LOVE seeing what you come up with! Here is what you need to do:

Mary Poppins

Practically perfect in every way! Here is Mary Poppins for our third Halloween look. Her lips were more of an orange brown but I wanted to do a more updated look with red. Hope Julie will forgive ; ). Hope you enjoy! A few items of business:

Sally the Rag Doll

Sally the Rag Doll from Tim Burton's the Nightmare Before Christmas is a fav of mine for Halloween. I love the look and the costume is just as fun! Here is my spin on the look and an option for you this Halloween. Our third annual Halloween Contest is coming up soon!!!

Snow White

Halloween is coming ladies! What are you going to be? I will be starting the Halloween series this week and hope that you will send in requests! Our first look will be Snow White. This little princess was beloved and sweet, albeit just a touch naive (NEVER take apples from strangers!). For the original movie the animators actually took real makeup and applied it to her in every frame. Her lips were also more of a brown red but has become iconic apple red for anyone doing the look now. I hope you like it =).
Speaking of Halloween, attention anyone in the Utah Valley area, I invite you to Witch's Night at Gardener's Village. I'll be there all decked out and looking to meet YOU! Are you coming? Will I see you there? Hope so = D!!!

Everyone did such a fantastic job and I wanted to show you all of the entries =). Yay you!!! I LOVE this song and wish it could have gone on longer.....hopefully we'll have more entries next year and maybe we can play the WHOLE song!!! I would DIE if that happened =D!!!!

Thanks to all of those that entered our third annual Halloween Contest! There can only be one winner of our fun prizes though and that person iiiiiisssss..........Jayme Anderson!!!!! Jayme chose to do art coming to life and here she is as the Girl In the Red Beret by Picasso. Doesn't she look GREAT????? She has won our contest this year so CONGRATS!!!!!!! There were also many other great entries and I will be posting those later today but wanted Jayme to have her own post =). CONGRATS again and good job!!!!!

The contest has been extended! I have been LOVING the entries and want to see MORE!!! My husband enlightened me that most everyone's parties will be this weekend and you may need more time so the contest has a NEW DEADLINE!!!!! Make Up For Ever Halloween Seminar

I had the chance to attend a Halloween makeup seminar at Make Up For Ever and I thought I would bring you guys along so you can check it out too. The look was a fantasy Dracula. The makeup is amazing and I'm sure you guys will pick up some great tips and techniques for doing your makeup for Halloween this year. Make Up For Ever has so many great products for this type of makeup. Glitter, waterproof, jewels....you name it they have it. And all ot those things are used in this look. I had a great time at the seminar. Thank you to the makeup artist extraordinare Jaylene for doing an amazing job. There are 2 parts to this video so make sure you watch part 2 as well. And watch until the very end because I have a 5 min interview with the Reginal Rep for Make Up For Ever Western Canada, Heather Nightingale and she tells us about some of the must have Make Up For Ever products to have in your kit.

Here is the Queen of Hearts from the new Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. I think that our contest will, in fact, be Halloween. It won't be scary though. It will be ANYTHING you want as long as it is Halloween"y". So come on ladies, share it with friends. I don't care if they have never been to the blog before!!!!!!
