I can't say that I was super in love with her first gown. That's right FIRST! She wore three gowns that night, all very different. Here are some sketches of the Vera Wang masterpieces. Fantasy Fairy Makeup

This is just whimsical fun =). My fav is seeing my youngest Branson in the background. He kept saying (with a confused look),"Um. you look (pause) pretty Mommy?" Yes it was in the form of a question LOL. I have to admit that I didn't love how the brown line underneath turned out but practice makes perfect right? =) Come with me to a land of fairies. If you want to blend in, you may want to try this look out....okay I'm a geek but ENJOY!!!

Kim Kardashian Tutorial

This is our third Kim Kardashian look and I love this one just as much as the others. Enjoy!!! =) Keep those requests coming!

Color Explosion!!!

Spring 2011 gives us an infuse of color the likes of which we haven't seen in years. Most seen colors on the New York runways of fashion week? Bright blues,  bright chartreuse (is there any other kind?), bright pink, bright reds...Are you seeing a pattern???
*BRIGHT*
Whites, tans and golds were also thrown into the mix whilst incorporating these bright colors. Look at these yummy images below to see how this trend plays out in clothing and makeup.
Makes me think of Gidget movies from the late 50's early 60's...well maybe not the head piece...

All shades of red are welcome, but look below for SHOCK value!

Shocking blue can be found on all types of accessories.

Hot pink is fantastic and also very daring. If you can't commit to the brightness in a large way try it out on your lips first. My fav?  Girl About Town from MAC.
Chartreuse may be a color I have to lightly tread into. My goal this next month? Find one way I can incorporate this bold color into my wardrobe. I think it DoEs look pretty fantastic with that tan!

Without QUESTION I heart white! I am even changing my whole ROOM to have white bedding, large white flower arrangements around the room and I LOVE me a great white T with jeans!!!!! I absolutely love these flowing frocks of yumminess and want them like yesterday!
Tan.
Oh the warmness and chicness of tan. You just can't go wrong. Well, maybe you can...

And last but not least GOLDS.
Who doesn't love to sparkle and shine? Find an excuse to sparkle sometime this month and if you don't have a reason MAKE one! Have a girls night out and have everyone step it up a notch. Sometimes I get tired of reserving my cute little dresses for Sunday and wear them out when everyone is in jeans. THAT'S OKAY! Rock a look and have fun with it. If you're looking for a fab eye color to go with your sparkle, brush on some MAC Motif (looks gold but has a pink pearl shine to it) and out you go!

Valentine's Day Looks

Dramatic Look:
I am hoping that I get these out to you in time and I do apologize for the lateness of them. Here are two different looks for you. One more natural and then one more dramatic. These looks are great too with other colors. The more dramatic one for instance would look great with different shades of spring green!

Hot Pink Tutorial

So I KNOW this one isn't my best work as far as camera savyness. It is blurry but I can't help but LOVE that it actually shows the true COLOR!!!! SO, what I am thinking is I will practice a bunch, get better and I can still use the camera for close ups. Sorry about the blurry but hope you love the pinks, I do =).

Spring Has Sprung

There is something about Spring. The sun starts to peak out from behind cold dark clouds. The grass starts getting greener and life starts popping out just about everywhere. I love to find inspiration from nature and right now is the BEST time to find color. Look at flowers, butterflies, and sunsets. What inspires you color wise? Do a look and send in a picture of how you are welcoming in Spring!!! Melodi requested a springy look and I was inspired, this time, by the 2009 Dior Spring collection.

The Grammy's - Oh What A Night

The Grammys were held last Sunday and they were filled with all the biggest stars. There wasn't any major gossip or drama like past reward shows recently (Kanye stealing Taylor's spotlight or Chris brown brawl with Rihanna) it was just really good music and really good performances.

One word especially came to mind - DIVA! All the big time Divas were there - Beyonce, Celine, Pink, JLO, Rihanna, Fergie all brought it to the red carpet and looked fabulous.
Some of my favorites:
Lady Gaga of course! Brilliant as always. She opened the night with a beautiful duet with Elton John. She had several wardrobe looks for the night all done by Giorgio Armani. Every look was more over the top then the one before. You can really tell a difference with her makeup since she's started working with new makeup artist Billy B! He's amazing - you should check out his work if you love makeup.
Rihanna's dress was definitely a show stopper. She wore a white haute couture gown by Elie Saab that had feather detailing all over the front and neck. Rihanna always goes for something daring and different - that's why I love her style.

My favorite performance of the night (other than Gaga) was Pink. Who else can pull off a nude body suit with straps covering her "privates" as an outfit. She looked amazing, I loved the song she sang and her voice was perfect. Both Pink and Rihanna had similar faux hawks and wore similar silver white eye shadow on their eyes.

Beyonce was gorgeous as always. Her performance was good but a little predictable. She wore her hair sleek straight and a black smoky cat eye. She picked up 6 Grammys in total!!

Fergie looked sooo good, better than she has in a while. Her blue Emilio Pucci mini fit her like a glove. And her choc late brown hair with peachy nude makeup was a perfect match.

I was very impressed with Miley Cyrus - she looked hot and sexy and a little bit of Rock and Roll. Her short Max Azria dress showed off her best feature - her legs. She wore a strong smokey eye and pink nude lips and her hair was left loose and tousled. Love it!

Carrie Underwood was pretty perfection. Her voice sounded amazing during her MJ tribute song. Both her and Jennifer Hudson should make American Idol very proud!!

Katie Perry was a little retro, a little 70's, a little Indian princess. She wore bright colors on her eyes and a traditional Indian Bhindi. I can't believe she's already engaged to Russel Brand.

Glee's Lea Michele looked jaw-dropping in her navy Romona Keveza dress. It showed off her legs and shoulders and made her waist look tiny. I'm a big fan of the show. If you haven't seen it....watch one episode - you'll be hooked.

Now for my least favorites:

Taylor Swift had a huge night winning 'Album of the Year'. She was cute as she always is but I didn't like her long blue gown. The cut of the neck and shoulders looked really awkward to me. And she wore her hair and makeup as she always does.

Jlo - wasn't a huge fan of the dress, the hair or the makeup. Sorry but I miss the old JLO.

Oh Britney, britney, britney.....as much as I love you, what in the world were you thinking wearing this outfit?? See-through, black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress over a bodysuit, paired with fishnet stockings??? I'm so confused. Where are her people?Let me know which Grammy look you would like me to recreate.
