Mihara Yasuhiro SS' Menswear 2010- Poetic Outdoor

King of avant-garde with an extravagant Japanese design perspective, Mihara challenges the boundaries of sport and fashion. This season , his concept is researched, resulting in poetic collection of the big American outdoor.
Inspired by the book "Walden", after Henry David Thoreau's book Walden: Of Life In the Woods, the spiritual discovery of living in the forest surfaced into a peaceful and meaningful collection. Translated to urban chaos, Yasuhiro presented contemporary, young and soft feel sensibilities.

Mihara's technical knowledge and aristic Japanese spirit, creates a modern street look that is neither grunge or hip-hop.

Born and raised on Kyushu Island, in the western part of Japan, Yasuhiro Mihara started creating shoes in 1994 while attending Tama Art University. After discovering his innovative style of design, he began his shoe label “Mihara Yasuhiro” in 1997.

Mihara made his worldwide debut with Mihara Yasuhiro at 2002’s Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy. Mihara is recognized by the industry as a cutting edge designer synonymous with unique Japanese design.

His 2011 Menswear Collection is more on patched jeans matched with sweaters, lumderjack shirts and comouflage rain gears. His suits and coats with relax feel transform the designer's concept of edgy but comfortable mantra of dressing.
