Only a FURNE ONE could provide an amazing feat of techno- drama-magic spectacle, that blasted the closing of the Dubai Fashion Week 2012 , Oct. 24 at the World Trade Center. The venue was filled to the rafters as the city's fashionistas, media, photographers and One's huge followers thronged and queued up to the almost two hours delayed show. Was it worth waiting for?.....it was!
After all the frontrow settled and at last the lights went down, a haunting soundtrack filled the venue and the expansive LED blurred the inspiration of One's SHOW -"It's Alive" taken from the horror film of the same title. The drama unfolded. In total blackout, a well illuminated figure with a lighted arm ammunition and head accessorized, appeared on the runway. A cyborg, somewhat an embryonic kind of moving creature complete with twisting shapes, industrial and electrical components.
The invasion looked ethereal, as dream-like apparition of android goddesses stomped the catwalk, er, roboticwalk, as the audience was still reverberating and awed at witnessing this incredible event.
The theatrical performance, Furne One's craftsmanhip, the quality of his clothes that preceded, reconfimed the designer's unique power as the master showman-designer. Only Furne One can upstaged a Furne One. The refinement of his rampaging contemporary works of poetic mutation clearly showed fashion forward silhouettes and yes to FURNE ONE's technically superb visuals.
